James Vance Tree Service has been climbing, cutting, and caring for trees across Southwest Colorado since 2018.
James Vance started this company with one chainsaw, a worn-in climbing saddle, and a simple belief: the people of Bayfield, Colorado and the surrounding valleys deserved a tree service that showed up, worked safely, and left the place better than they found it.
Years later, that hasn't changed. We're still a small, hands-on crew — which means when you call, you talk to the people who will actually be in your trees. We take the jobs the big outfits rush and the weekend crews shouldn't touch: the leaner over the cabin, the fire-prone hillside, the heritage tree that just needs the right hands.
From the Vallecito shoreline to the mesas above Durango and the pines around Pagosa Springs, we've learned that good tree work is equal parts skill, judgment, and respect — for the tree, the property, and the person who loves both.
